2" Connemara Jumpers -
1st place
2" Open Pony Jumpers -

Tadpole CT:
1st place. Was Combined Training Reserve Champion for the show

o These jumper classes were much more challenging courses than I would have entered him in, for his experience level at the time, but we didn’t know until we walked the course. It had several spreads, a Liverpool, combinations, etc., none of which I expected, but we were really proud of him and his performance.
o I’m not sure if this was the first or 2nd round he did, but I guess it’s the 2nd from the title “Catfish Stadium II” http://youtu.be/SGkpPWu_AW4 The 2nd jump, which he really looked at, was a Liverpool that I could not believe was on this 2’ jumper course.
o “Catfish Stadium” http://youtu.be/AfWV9pJYk5M This was his last jumper round. He had already done 3 dressage tests and 2 jumper classes before this and he was really tired by the time he did this round and so was Barbie (she was also competing her own horse, swithching back and forth for jumpers, to dressage, and back, so totally understandable.) They both just gave out coming into the last combo – no leg = no impulsion = no jump.

6/18/11 Canterbury 3-phase (Tadpole HT) 2nd place

5/28/11 Rocking Horse Schooling Horse Show with Barbie Beckford
Intro A: 55% He really looked at all the letters in this round and didn’t score well.
Intro B: 65% - 4th place The second time in (Test B) he was much better (did not worry about the letter markers) and he scored 10 points higher. The judge commented on how quickly he got over the letters and settled nicely into his 2nd test.
18” Jumpers: http://youtu.be/bDBf_cNOiGA Catfish’s first ever jumping course!

5/1/11 Misty Morning Hounds Hunter Pace (5 miles) with Barbie Beckford

His first show was the 6/5/10 Region IV Connemara Show, where I showed him in hand in Purebred Geldings 3 and Over.

Luke McLaughlin catch-rode him in his very first ridden class, Intro Test B, scoring a 65% (photo below)

2/29 - 5/1/10 In training with Melissa Roberts, to teach him the basics of undersaddle work.

Catfish was backed in 2009 at age 2 1/2. Walk, halt, turns and standing still for mounting dismounting were the only goals, which he learned quickly and perfectly.
