We did it! Kynynmont Gunsmoke’s Gideon made his Grand Prix debut!
This horse is one in a million and I’m so honored I get to be his trainer! Thank you Pam for breeding him and trusting me with his training and care! He is a wonderful representative of the Connemara breed! He is 3/4 Connemara,10 years old & sure looks bigger than his 15’2 hands! He is a joy to have around every day & so much fun to ride and train! Pam has some incredible Connemara/warm blood crosses coming up the ranks so be sure to check it out if you want your own Gideon!

Kynynmont Gunsmoke’s Gideon Is Giving The Little Guy A Good Name - Article from the Chronicle of the Horse

So proud of the Super Pony, Kynynmont Gunsmoke's Gideon, who was the show High point and FEI High point in Lexington with his winning 70.7% in the Developing Prix St George! This is the most remarkable 8 yr old I've ever had the delight to train! He is so much fun, so talented, & every day a joy! Pam Liddell has many like him at her Connemara breeding farm in Pa! Erin Brooke Freedman will be riding, showing, & starting some half breeds just like Gideon! I'm 5'11 and he's plenty big enough for me at 15'2! I'm so grateful to have a group of amazing horses & wonderful supportive owners! Thank u all for your continued support! JJ Tate (May 2016)

After winning the 4th level, test 3 class at Dressage at Devon the first weekend of October 2015, Gideon went on to win the 2015 Championship honors at 4th Level Open this past weekend at Region 1 Dressage Championships held in Lexington, Virginia. Having also received a qualifying score at Prix St. Georges at Region 1 Championships, Gideon will move on to compete at the U.S. Dressage Finals in Lexington, Kentucky the first weekend of November at both 4th Level and Prix St. Georges.

Gideon is a 7-year-old, ¾ Connemara, by Gunsmoke and out of my halfbred Connemara mare, Kynynmont Tara (Greystone McErill x Irish Rose). He exhibits all the wonderful traits of a Connemara pony that make Connemaras so good for dressage---naturally forward-thinking, extremely willing and very supple, My thanks go to JJ Tate of Team Tate Dressage, who trains and shows Gideon, and to her husband, Richard Malmgren, who takes so many beautiful photos of my ponies, including this one. JJ has done an amazing job of bringing the best out in Gideon, and also supervising the training by her assistant trainer, Kaitlin Blythe, of my now 4th-Level stallion, Kynynmont Cooper O’Grady (*Gunsmoke x Kynynmont Moira). At the beginning of September, with Kaitlin in the saddle on all three, Cooper won the National Dressage Pony Cup Finals 3rd-Level Open Championship.

The ponies had another fabulous show with Team Tate Dressage, this time at Region 1 Championships in Lexington, VA. JJ Tate piloted Kynynmont Gunsmoke's Gideon to another big win, making him 2015 Region 1 Champion at 4th Level Open. JJ has done a beautiful job of bringing out the best in Gideon.

Whoohoo!!! Kynynmont Gunsmoke's Gideon made the front cover of USDF Connection magazine! The article is about the Trainers Conference that took place in Loxahatchee, FL in January, where trainers from all over the country come to learn from a top international trainer. Gideon and his trainer, JJ Tate, were asked to participate as one of the horse/rider demo pairs. What an honor for Gideon! Many thanks to JJ for making it happen! (Pam Liddell)

Team Tate's Kaitlin Blythe did her usual fabulous job of showing three other Kynynmont ponies, including Kynynmont Cooper O'Grady at 4th Level, with a second and a third. Kaitlin has done so much to bring these ponies along.

Thank you so much to JJ and Kaitlin for a magnificent training and showing job with all of them. And thank you to for recording their successes with such gorgeous photos! By owner, Pam Liddell
