Brooke and Marit continue strengthening their partnership and skills in eventing. They are really coming along and it is a pleasure watching them learn together under the tutelage of Alex Green.

What fun it was to cheer on Brooke and Marit at their BN run at the River Glen 2020 Fall Horse Trials. They had an excellent ride in dressage and clean show jumping round, landing them in 3rd place after the first day. A couple mistakes on cross-country dropped them out of the ribbons, but they overall has a really good go. This was the 2nd attempt at a cross-country course for both horse and rider. We are looking forward to more from this up-and-coming pair. (Nov 2020)

I was very pleased with my mare, Seaborne's Maritime, at the Hiwassee College D & CT schooling show last weekend. We did Intro B & C and got 2nd place in each class. More importantly, we both kept our cool (relatively:-) with only a few show nerves displayed by either of us, though each carried some tension. I have not shown much undersaddle in years (only once, since taking up driving), and this was Marit's first ridden show, with a few "good excuses" to be distracted. Overall, I was very encouraged and proud of her willingness and ability. She is a lovely, lovely horse. "Thank you" to Denise Hill for selling Marit to me, to Melissa McKenzie for training her and coaching me, and to Sharon Cannon for the moral support! (Vanessa 4/10/17)

At the ACPS Region IV Connemara show this month (June 2015) in Cleveland, TN:

On Sunday, Bri handled Seaborne's Maritime in the Halfbred Connemara Mare Class and took home the blue, along with winning the overall Halfbred In-hand Championship.
